Job Description
Are you a motivated 17-year-old looking for a dynamic part-time opportunity? Rooms To Go in Wesley Chapel is seeking enthusiastic Delivery Helpers to join our team! This entry-level role is perfect for teens eager to gain valuable work experience in a supportive environment. As a Delivery Helper, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring our customers receive their furniture and white goods safely and efficiently, working alongside experienced drivers to provide exceptional service. You will assist with loading and unloading items, protecting merchandise, and occasionally assembling basic furniture, all while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced drivers with the safe and timely delivery of furniture and white goods to customer homes.
- Load and unload items from delivery trucks, using proper lifting and moving techniques.
- Protect furniture and merchandise from damage during transit and delivery.
- Assemble basic furniture items at customer homes as needed.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatch, and customers.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
Required Skills
- Must be 17 years of age.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items regularly (up to 75 lbs with assistance).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Physical stamina and agility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical labor role or customer service is a plus, but not required.
