Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shopify Specialist with a strong focus on Inventory & Logistics to join our dynamic e-commerce team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products from our suppliers to our customers, optimizing stock levels, and streamlining fulfillment processes across our Shopify Plus platform. You will play a key role in maintaining data integrity, implementing inventory strategies, and enhancing our logistics capabilities to support our growing online business. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels across all Shopify stores and integrated systems.
- Monitor stock movements, conduct regular audits, and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Develop and implement strategies for inventory optimization, including forecasting, reorder points, and allocation.
- Oversee and improve logistics workflows, including order fulfillment, shipping, and returns processing.
- Collaborate with warehousing and third-party logistics (3PL) partners to ensure efficient operations.
- Configure and optimize Shopify apps and integrations related to inventory, shipping, and fulfillment.
- Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement in inventory and logistics.
- Provide technical support and training to team members on Shopify inventory and logistics functionalities.
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify updates, e-commerce best practices, and industry trends.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Shopify Plus, specifically in inventory management and logistics.
- Proficiency in Shopify's admin panel, apps, and API integrations.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles (e.g., FIFO, JIT, ABC analysis).
- Experience with shipping carriers, fulfillment processes, and warehouse operations.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to inventory and order flow.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, E-commerce, or a related field.
- Experience with other ERP/WMS systems integrated with Shopify.
- Familiarity with various shipping software and APIs (e.g., ShipStation, Canada Post, FedEx).
- Project management experience in an e-commerce environment.
- Certification in Shopify or relevant e-commerce platforms.
