Job Description

Join Meta’s dedicated team as an Online Content Moderator focusing on health-related content. In this vital role, you will be responsible for reviewing user-generated content across our platforms to ensure compliance with our community standards and health guidelines. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining a safe, respectful, and trustworthy online environment for billions of users worldwide, particularly concerning sensitive topics like health information, misinformation, and user well-being. This position requires critical thinking, a strong ethical compass, and the ability to make consistent decisions under pressure. You will play a crucial role in preventing the spread of harmful health-related content and protecting vulnerable communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and moderate user-generated content, including text, images, and videos, specifically focusing on health-related topics, against established community guidelines and health policies.
  • Identify and take appropriate action on content that violates policies, such as misinformation, harmful health claims, graphic content, or incitement to self-harm, escalating complex cases as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and consistency in decision-making while adhering to strict service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Contribute to ongoing training and calibration efforts to improve content moderation quality and policy understanding.
  • Collaborate with policy, legal, and engineering teams to provide feedback on content trends and improve platform safety tools.
  • Handle sensitive and potentially disturbing content responsibly, utilizing available support resources.

Required Skills

  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Comfortable working with potentially disturbing or graphic content.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate various online tools and software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in content moderation, trust and safety, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their community guidelines.
  • Understanding of health-related topics, medical terminology, or public health policies.
  • Experience working in a regulated or compliance-focused environment.
  • Ability to identify and analyze trends in online content.
