Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialty Baker to join our dynamic team in Kidderminster. This unique opportunity comes with full LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) and Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship for eligible international candidates. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide variety of specialty breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to Waitrose & Partners' recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Develop new recipes and innovative bakery products in collaboration with the bakery team.
- Decorate and finish baked goods with precision and creativity.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and bakery area.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Adhere to production schedules to meet customer demand.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a baker, with a focus on specialty or artisanal baking.
- Proficiency in various baking techniques, including dough preparation, proofing, shaping, and decorating.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality products.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary degree or professional baking certification.
- Experience with international baking styles or specific pastry arts.
- Previous experience in a premium retail or hospitality bakery setting.
- Familiarity with waste reduction practices and sustainable baking methods.
- Proficiency in English for effective communication.
