Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Traveling Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across various CVS Health locations, supporting our pharmacies and patients wherever the need is greatest. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care, assisting pharmacists, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Assist patients with prescription inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain proper inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues.
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, data entry, and managing patient records.
- Travel to various CVS Health pharmacy locations as assigned, adapting quickly to new environments and teams.
- Support pharmacists in all aspects of pharmacy operations, including compounding and sterile product preparation if applicable.
- Participate in continuous training and professional development programs.
Required Skills
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Tennessee.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various settings.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and basic computer skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively within a designated region.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a traveling or float pharmacy technician role.
- Experience with CVS Health pharmacy systems and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations and medical terminology.
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) are a plus.
