Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Shopify Liquid Specialist to join our dynamic team in Mississauga. This full-time, hybrid position is crucial for developing and enhancing custom Shopify themes, ensuring an exceptional user experience and robust e-commerce functionality for our diverse client base. You will be at the forefront of building engaging online stores, working closely with our design, UX, and project management teams to translate creative visions into functional, high-performing Shopify solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain custom Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/SCSS), and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Integrate third-party applications and APIs to extend Shopify store functionality.
  • Optimize website performance, load times, and responsiveness across various devices and browsers.
  • Collaborate effectively with designers, UX specialists, and project managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of theme-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with Shopify best practices, platform updates, and emerging e-commerce trends.
  • Implement SEO best practices within theme development to improve search engine visibility.

Required Skills

  • Proven proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating language.
  • Strong command of front-end web technologies including HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/SCSS), and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Solid understanding of the Shopify platform, its capabilities, and API integrations.
  • Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to create responsive and accessible web designs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
  • Familiarity with build tools like Webpack or Gulp.
  • Knowledge of headless Shopify implementations.
  • Shopify Partner or Developer Certification.
  • Experience with performance optimization tools and techniques.
