Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apple Knowledge Graph Associate with a strong data focus to join our remote team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing and maintaining Apple’s expansive knowledge graph, which underpins critical features across our ecosystem. You will be responsible for data quality, consistency, and the expansion of the graph’s semantic understanding. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and a passion for structuring complex information. As a remote associate, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones to ensure the continuous improvement and reliability of our knowledge graph assets. This is a 100% remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of Apple's knowledge graph, focusing on data acquisition, curation, and validation.
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify patterns, relationships, and opportunities for graph enrichment.
- Implement and manage data quality processes, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of knowledge graph entities.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to define data models and schema for new knowledge domains.
- Utilize internal tools and scripts to process, clean, and integrate diverse data sources into the knowledge graph.
- Participate in reviews and provide constructive feedback on data structure and content proposals.
- Monitor the performance and integrity of knowledge graph data, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively.
Required Skills
- Proven experience working with large datasets and data quality initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex information.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and query languages (e.g., SQL, Cypher, SPARQL).
- Familiarity with knowledge graph concepts, ontologies, and semantic web technologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for data processing.
- Understanding of machine learning principles and their application to knowledge graphs.
- Prior experience in a global technology company setting.
- Familiarity with Apple's product ecosystem.
