Job Description
Are you a 16-year-old looking for an exciting part-time job that puts you right in the middle of the action? Hialeah Park Racing & Casino is seeking enthusiastic and friendly Event Ushers to help create unforgettable experiences for our guests. This is a fantastic opportunity for teens to gain valuable work experience, develop customer service skills, and be part of a fun, energetic team during concerts, sporting events, and various other park attractions. No prior experience is required – we’ll train you to be the best!
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and direct guests to their assigned seats or event areas.
- Scan tickets and ensure smooth entry for all attendees.
- Provide accurate information about event schedules, facilities, and services.
- Monitor assigned sections for any issues or guest needs, escalating when necessary.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all patrons.
- Assist with crowd management and emergency procedures as instructed.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure successful event execution.
- Adhere to all park policies and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods during events.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per event schedules.
- A desire to learn and contribute to a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in high school.
- An interest in sports, music, or entertainment events.
- Previous volunteer experience in customer-facing roles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
