Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Grants Coordinator with a strong non-profit finance focus to join our dynamic team. This 100% remote position is crucial for the efficient and compliant management of our grant portfolio, ensuring financial integrity and supporting our global mission. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a solid understanding of grant regulations, and a passion for making an impact. You will play a vital role in the lifecycle of grants, from application to reporting, ensuring adherence to both donor requirements and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of grant proposals, budgets, and financial reports in line with donor requirements and internal guidelines.
- Monitor grant expenditures, ensuring compliance with budgetary allocations and financial regulations from various funders (e.g., government, foundations, corporate).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date grant records, including contracts, amendments, reporting schedules, and financial documentation.
- Collaborate with program managers and finance teams to track project progress, identify potential financial risks, and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of grant management policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Facilitate internal and external audits related to grant funding, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Provide technical assistance and training to staff on grant compliance, financial management, and reporting requirements.
- Support the grants team in researching new funding opportunities and preparing background materials for potential donors.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in grants management or non-profit finance.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and budget management.
- Strong understanding of grant compliance principles and regulations (e.g., USAID, EU, private foundations).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with an ERP system (e.g., Workday, SAP) for grant tracking and financial management.
- Familiarity with international non-profit operations and diverse donor landscapes.
- Professional certification in grants management (e.g., GPC) or project management.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
