Job Description
Are you a responsible and energetic 13-year-old looking for your first job? The Las Vegas Review-Journal is seeking enthusiastic teens to join our distribution team as Newspaper Carriers for a focused neighborhood route in Summerlin. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn your own money, develop a strong work ethic, and contribute to your community by delivering essential local news. We’re looking for individuals who are reliable, enjoy being outdoors, and can commit to early morning deliveries. Key Responsibilities
- Pick up newspapers from a designated local drop-off point in Summerlin.
- Efficiently and accurately deliver newspapers to subscribers' homes within a specific neighborhood route.
- Ensure newspapers are delivered in a timely manner, typically in the early morning.
- Maintain a positive and respectful demeanor while representing the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
- Report any delivery issues or concerns to a supervisor promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and follow a delivery route map.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Good physical stamina for walking, biking, or carrying newspapers.
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment.
- Parental/guardian consent and support for employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Summerlin neighborhood route.
- Previous experience with similar tasks (e.g., paper rounds, chore completion).
- Access to a bicycle or other appropriate means of transport for the route.
