Job Description
We are seeking a highly meticulous and experienced Database Manager specializing in Raiser’s Edge NXT to join our Development team. This critical role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and optimal utilization of our donor database, supporting all fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, a deep understanding of Raiser’s Edge functionality, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data quality. This is an on-site position requiring a strong presence within our office environment to foster seamless collaboration and direct support to our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Raiser's Edge NXT database, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Perform regular data entry, updates, and clean-up to uphold database integrity.
- Develop and generate a variety of reports, queries, and exports to support fundraising campaigns, donor analytics, and financial reconciliation.
- Implement and enforce data entry policies and procedures.
- Provide training and support to staff on Raiser's Edge best practices and data entry protocols.
- Manage donor acknowledgments, gift processing, and pledge tracking.
- Assist with database integration projects and system upgrades as needed.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate gift recording and reporting.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and correct data discrepancies.
- Support donor segmentation and targeted communication strategies.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Raiser's Edge NXT (or equivalent Blackbaud product).
- Proven track record of maintaining high accuracy and data integrity in a large database.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data manipulation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Non-profit Management, Information Systems).
- Experience in a non-profit fundraising or healthcare development environment.
- Familiarity with SQL or other database querying languages.
- Experience with other Blackbaud products or CRM systems.
