Job Description
Join Mears Transportation Group as an Airport Shuttle Driver in Wesley Chapel, Florida, and become a vital part of our high-traffic operation. We are looking for dedicated and customer-focused individuals to safely transport passengers to and from Tampa International Airport (TPA) and various destinations within the greater Pasco and Hillsborough County areas. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company shuttle vehicles in various weather and traffic conditions.
- Transport passengers promptly and courteously to and from designated airport terminals and specified locations.
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage, ensuring proper handling and care.
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and passengers.
- Handle passenger inquiries and provide local area information when requested.
- Process payments or verify ride bookings efficiently.
- Manage time effectively to meet scheduled pick-up and drop-off times.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid US Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the Tampa Bay area, including Pasco and Hillsborough Counties.
- Ability to lift and carry luggage up to 50 lbs.
- Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on flight schedules and demand.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous professional driving experience, especially in a shuttle or commercial transport setting.
- Familiarity with GPS and navigation systems.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
