Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Remote Mortgage Support Specialist. In this stable financial role, you will play a crucial part in assisting mortgage applicants and existing clients through various stages of the mortgage process. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service from the comfort of your home. You will be responsible for processing inquiries, providing information, and resolving issues related to mortgage applications, documentation, and servicing, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat regarding mortgage products, applications, and processes.
- Assist clients with completing mortgage application forms and gathering required documentation.
- Provide clear and concise information on loan status, terms, and conditions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, escalating complex cases to senior staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions and transactions in the CRM system.
- Adhere to all company policies, compliance regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., underwriting, processing) to ensure timely resolution of client needs.
- Continuously update knowledge on mortgage products, policies, and regulations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service, call center, or a related financial support role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong active listening skills and empathy.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and navigating multiple systems simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet home office setup.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the mortgage or banking industry.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Familiarity with CRM software and mortgage loan origination systems (LOS).
