Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Shopify Specialist with a keen focus on Inventory and Logistics to join our dynamic team in Red Deer. This role is crucial for optimizing our e-commerce operations, ensuring seamless product flow from warehouse to customer, and maintaining accurate inventory across all Shopify channels. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of the Shopify platform, inventory management best practices, and e-commerce logistics, working closely with various departments to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize product listings, inventory levels, and stock allocation within the Shopify platform.
- Oversee and improve order fulfillment processes, including integration with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and shipping carriers.
- Monitor inventory accuracy through regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes.
- Implement and manage Shopify apps and integrations related to inventory, shipping, and order management.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend strategies for reducing carrying costs and preventing stockouts.
- Collaborate with the merchandising and marketing teams to ensure product availability for promotional campaigns.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, and order processing.
- Develop and maintain documentation for inventory and logistics procedures.
- Generate regular reports on inventory performance, fulfillment metrics, and shipping costs.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Shopify or Shopify Plus platform.
- Proven expertise in e-commerce inventory management and logistics operations.
- Strong understanding of order fulfillment processes, warehousing, and shipping.
- Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems integration.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Analytics).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with specific Shopify inventory/logistics apps (e.g., ShipStation, Stocky, Bold Inventory).
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
- Project management experience in an e-commerce environment.
- Certifications in supply chain or logistics management.
