Job Description

As an AI Interaction Coach, you will play a crucial role in refining the conversational abilities of our advanced AI chatbots. Your primary responsibility will be to imbue these AI entities with a deeper understanding and expression of empathy, ensuring their interactions are natural, helpful, and emotionally intelligent. This involves developing training materials, evaluating conversational flows, and providing detailed feedback to improve AI responses in diverse user scenarios. You will work at the intersection of natural language processing, user experience, and ethical AI development, directly impacting how millions of users interact with our AI products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement training exercises to teach AI models empathetic communication.
  • Evaluate AI chatbot responses for coherence, accuracy, and emotional appropriateness.
  • Develop detailed guidelines and best practices for empathetic AI interactions.
  • Collaborate with AI researchers, engineers, and product managers to integrate empathy into core AI functionalities.
  • Analyze user feedback to identify areas for improvement in AI conversational empathy.
  • Contribute to the creation of ethical AI frameworks for empathetic dialogue.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in natural language processing and emotional AI.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate nuances of human emotion and empathy.
  • Experience with content creation, technical writing, or instructional design.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, particularly in NLP or conversational AI.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Psychology, Communications, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with large language models or chatbot development platforms.
  • Background in user experience (UX) writing or content strategy.
  • Proficiency in French is a plus given the Montreal location.
  • Experience in data annotation or quality assurance for AI systems.
