Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Night Porter to join our friendly team at DoubleTree by Hilton Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in hospitality, as full training will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary. You will be a crucial part of our night operations, ensuring guest safety, security, and satisfaction during the quiet hours. This role comes with a high night shift premium, recognizing the valuable contribution you make to our guest experience around the clock.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security walks and checks throughout the hotel premises, ensuring safety and security for all guests and property.
- Handle late check-ins and early check-outs efficiently and courteously.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all guest requests and emergencies during the night shift.
- Assist with luggage and provide general information to guests as needed.
- Set up meeting rooms, prepare amenities, and perform light cleaning duties in public areas.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels.
- Complete night audit procedures and reports as required (training provided).
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in all situations.
- Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Basic computer literacy (training on hotel systems will be provided).
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (any industry).
- First Aid qualification (training can be provided).
- Knowledge of local area attractions and amenities.
