Job Description

Ulta Beauty’s Salon is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Hair Stylist Assistant to join our vibrant team in Cedar Rapids. As an assistant, you will work closely with experienced stylists, learning cutting-edge techniques, client consultation, and salon operations, all while providing exceptional support to ensure our guests have an unparalleled salon experience. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior stylists with various tasks, including shampooing, conditioning, and preparing clients for services.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the salon floor, workstations, and styling tools.
- Prepare color mixtures and treatments according to stylist specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service, greeting clients and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit.
- Manage laundry and supply inventory to ensure smooth salon operations.
- Observe and actively learn advanced styling, cutting, and coloring techniques from experienced stylists.
- Support retail sales by educating clients on recommended hair care products and tools.
- Participate in ongoing training and mentorship sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a cosmetology program.
- Strong passion for the beauty industry and hair styling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Basic understanding of hair care products and treatments.
Preferred Qualifications
