Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and efficient Pharmacy Data Processor to join our remote team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurate and high-volume data entry related to pharmacy operations, patient records, prescriptions, and insurance information. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of data integrity, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced virtual environment. You will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth flow of information essential for patient care and pharmacy compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process and enter high volumes of pharmacy data, including prescriptions, patient demographics, insurance details, and medication orders, into designated systems.
- Verify data accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting discrepancies proactively.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient health information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff and other departments as needed to resolve data-related issues or clarify information.
- Generate routine reports and assist with data audits to ensure data integrity and system accuracy.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to data processing and pharmacy operations.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance data entry efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in high-volume data entry, preferably within a healthcare or pharmacy setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and comfortable with learning new data entry software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a remote work environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of data privacy principles and HIPAA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certification in a healthcare-related field.
- Previous experience with pharmacy management systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmaceutical abbreviations.
- Ability to type at least 60 WPM with high accuracy.
