Key Responsibilities
- Assist UPS drivers with the delivery and pickup of packages.
- Learn and follow delivery routes and schedules efficiently.
- Handle packages carefully and safely, ensuring their integrity.
- Load and unload packages from delivery vehicles.
- Navigate various weather conditions and terrains while delivering.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers and colleagues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and dispatch.
- Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic delivery team.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 70 lbs independently and 150 lbs with assistance.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical labor or delivery-related role.
- Familiarity with the Ventura, CA area.
- Ability to read maps and follow directions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
