Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Energy Use Data Verifier to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, validating, and ensuring the accuracy of energy consumption data from various utility sources. This critical position supports our commitment to precise billing, energy efficiency programs, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to contribute significantly from anywhere within our operational footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify energy consumption data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or anomalies in data records.
- Collaborate with other departments to correct data errors and improve data collection processes.
- Maintain detailed records of verified data and all verification activities.
- Generate reports on data quality and verification status.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and data security protocols.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance data verification skills.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of utility data or energy consumption metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Data Analytics).
- Previous experience in data entry, data verification, or quality control.
- Familiarity with utility billing systems or energy management software.
- Experience with SQL or other database query languages.
