Job Description
Join the Netflix team as a Remote Subtitle & Caption Writer, where you’ll play a crucial role in making our vast library of content accessible and enjoyable for viewers worldwide. This is a 100% remote, work-from-home opportunity designed for individuals with excellent linguistic skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for creating accurate and high-quality subtitles and captions for a variety of video content, ensuring synchronization, readability, and adherence to Netflix’s style guidelines. Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio accurately into text for subtitles and captions.
- Synchronize text precisely with on-screen dialogue and sound effects.
- Edit and proofread subtitles for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.
- Ensure cultural relevance and nuance in all subtitle and caption content.
- Adhere strictly to Netflix's established style guides and quality standards.
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines for various projects.
- Provide feedback on tools and processes to improve efficiency and quality.
Required Skills
- Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
