Job Description
We are seeking reliable and experienced Agricultural Haulers for seasonal harvest work in West Valley City, Utah, and surrounding regional areas. This role is crucial for the timely transportation of harvested crops from fields to processing facilities or storage sites. You will operate various heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient delivery while adhering to all transportation regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty trucks and agricultural hauling equipment to transport crops.
- Safely load and unload agricultural products, including grains, produce, and other commodities.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery records.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with farm managers, dispatch, and processing staff.
- Ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of assigned vehicles.
- Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as dictated by harvest schedules.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Clean driving record.
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating heavy-duty trucks, preferably in an agricultural setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing, lifting, and repetitive motions.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specific agricultural hauling equipment (e.g., grain trailers, live bottom trailers).
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor equipment troubleshooting.
- High school diploma or GED.
