Job Description
As a Food Service Quality Rater, you will be responsible for meticulously evaluating food products and service standards within our local network. This routine work involves detailed inspections, adherence to strict quality control protocols, and accurate record-keeping to ensure the highest standards for our clients. You will play a crucial role in maintaining Sysco’s reputation for excellence and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine quality inspections of food products and service operations at various local client sites.
- Verify adherence to food safety standards, company specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Document findings accurately and thoroughly, preparing detailed reports on product quality and service performance.
- Identify and report any non-compliance issues or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with site managers and relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and food safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Ability to follow established protocols and procedures precisely.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and report generation.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the Elk Grove area.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, quality control, or a related field.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles or other food safety certifications.
- Associate's degree in a relevant discipline.
