Job Description
Are you detail-oriented, quick on your feet, and looking for a temporary gig that keeps you active? Five Star Painting of Omaha is seeking a Ceiling Paint Helper for small, fast-paced projects primarily focused on ceiling repairs and painting in specific areas. This role is perfect for someone who can work efficiently, maintain a clean workspace, and support our lead painters in delivering high-quality finishes. You’ll be part of a friendly team, tackling projects that require precision and a keen eye for detail. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a professional painting environment and contribute to beautiful results in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare work areas by covering floors, furniture, and other surfaces to prevent paint splatters.
- Assist in sanding, patching, and cleaning ceiling surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint to ceilings using brushes, rollers, and other tools as directed by lead painters.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper disposal of materials.
- Load and unload equipment and supplies at job sites.
- Follow safety guidelines and company protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth project execution.
Required Skills
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Basic understanding of painting tools and techniques (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Physical ability to stand, climb ladders, and lift moderate weights for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites within the Old Market area and surrounding Omaha.
- Legal authorization to work in the US.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in painting, construction, or a similar trade.
- Experience with ceiling repair or texturing.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
