Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Assist with safe transfers and ambulation, ensuring patient mobility and safety.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized living environment.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, assisting with feeding as needed.
  • Remind patients to take medications as prescribed (HHA scope of practice).
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
  • Provide companionship and engage patients in stimulating activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant healthcare regulations.

Required Skills

  • Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in Florida.
  • Demonstrated compassion and empathy for patients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform duties independently and reliably.
  • Strong observational and reporting skills.
  • Physical ability to assist with patient transfers and mobility.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Home Health Aide.
  • CPR certification.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Haitian Creole) are a plus.
