Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with safe transfers and ambulation, ensuring patient mobility and safety.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized living environment.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, assisting with feeding as needed.
- Remind patients to take medications as prescribed (HHA scope of practice).
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
- Provide companionship and engage patients in stimulating activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant healthcare regulations.
Required Skills
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in Florida.
- Demonstrated compassion and empathy for patients.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to perform duties independently and reliably.
- Strong observational and reporting skills.
- Physical ability to assist with patient transfers and mobility.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Home Health Aide.
- CPR certification.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Haitian Creole) are a plus.
