Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of Greenville’s vibrant arts scene? The Peace Center is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Event Stewards / Ushers for weekend performances and events. This entry-level role is perfect for those who enjoy working with people, have a positive attitude, and are available on weekends. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training! You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience at every event.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and assist guests upon arrival and throughout events.
- Scan tickets and direct patrons to their assigned seats efficiently.
- Provide accurate information about the venue, facilities, and upcoming events.
- Enforce venue policies and procedures to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.
- Assist with crowd management and maintain order during performances.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor issues with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Be prepared to assist with emergency evacuations and first aid procedures if needed.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and event staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment in designated areas.
- Attend pre-event briefings to stay informed about specific event details and requirements.

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual, especially for weekend shifts.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a public-facing role (even if informal).
- Familiarity with The Peace Center or other event venues.
