Job Description
Join Fantastic Services as an IKEA Bed Assembly Aide, working as part of a crucial two-person team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are hands-on, detail-oriented, and enjoy contributing to a seamless customer experience. You will be responsible for assisting in the efficient and correct assembly of IKEA bed frames and related furniture items at various customer locations within Macclesfield and the wider Cheshire area. Full training will be provided to ensure you become proficient with IKEA assembly instructions and tools. This role requires physical dexterity, a keen eye for detail, and excellent teamwork skills to ensure every assembly is completed to the highest standard, leaving our customers delighted with their new furniture.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead technician in the assembly of IKEA bed frames and other furniture items according to manufacturer instructions.
- Unpack furniture components and organise them efficiently for assembly.
- Handle hand tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Ensure all parts are accounted for and correctly installed during the assembly process.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area before, during, and after assembly.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during on-site visits.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with your team partner to complete tasks within allocated timeframes.
- Conduct basic quality checks on assembled items to ensure stability and proper function.
