Job Description

Are you a proactive and inquisitive student passionate about understanding consumer behavior and global brands? Nestlé Canada is seeking a motivated Market Research Intern to join our team in Sault Ste. Marie. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in market analysis, consumer insights, and brand strategy within a leading global organization. You will contribute to projects that shape our understanding of diverse markets and help enhance the global exposure of our iconic brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and execution of market research studies, including surveys, focus groups, and competitor analysis.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify market trends and consumer insights.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Support the development of global brand strategies by researching international market landscapes and cultural nuances.
  • Collaborate with marketing and brand teams to integrate research insights into ongoing campaigns and product development.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activities and emerging industry trends.
  • Maintain and update market research databases and resources.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior coursework or projects in market research, statistics, or data analysis.
  • Familiarity with market research tools or software (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
  • Interest in consumer goods, food & beverage industry, and global branding.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.
