Job Description
Are you enthusiastic, customer-focused, and looking for your first job or a flexible part-time role? Torico Ice Cream is seeking friendly and energetic Ice Cream Parlor Servers to join our vibrant team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals eager to learn the ropes of the food service industry, develop valuable customer service skills, and contribute to a beloved local establishment. No prior experience is necessary – we’ll provide all the training you need!
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting ice cream flavors and products.
- Scoop and serve ice cream, create sundaes, milkshakes, and other dessert items accurately and efficiently.
- Operate a point-of-sale (POS) system, handle cash and credit card transactions, and provide accurate change.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the serving area, dining space, and back-of-house.
- Restock ingredients, toppings, and supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every guest.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- A positive attitude and a passion for customer service.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (or currently enrolled).
- Prior experience in a customer service role is a plus, but not required.
- Food handler's permit (or ability to obtain one upon hiring).
