Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and efficient Auto Parts Delivery Driver to join our team in Sunderland. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday during daytime hours, ensuring a great work-life balance. You will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of auto parts to our valued trade and retail customers across the local area. This role is crucial to our operations, requiring a customer-focused individual with excellent driving skills and a commitment to accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver auto parts to customers on assigned routes.
- Load and unload vehicles with auto parts, ensuring accurate manifests and proper handling.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain high standards of customer service during deliveries, representing Euro Car Parts professionally.
- Process delivery paperwork and payment collections accurately.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including picking and packing, when not on delivery routes.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (Category B)
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 penalty points
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely (up to 25kg)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery driver role, ideally within the automotive industry
- Knowledge of local routes and surrounding areas in Sunderland and Tyne and Wear
- Familiarity with auto parts and accessories
- Experience using handheld delivery devices or GPS systems
