Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Part-time Weekend Sandwich Hand to join our Panera Bread team in Montrose, Houston. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for preparing fresh, high-quality food. You’ll be responsible for crafting our signature sandwiches, ensuring our lunch rush runs smoothly, and contributing to a positive customer experience. This position focuses on weekend shifts, ensuring our guests enjoy delicious meals when they visit us.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to Panera Bread's recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and organized at all times.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain proper inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to all customers during lunch shifts.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with other kitchen duties as needed, including dishwashing and general cleaning.
Required Skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Availability to work weekend shifts consistently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service or kitchen role is a plus.
- Current Food Handler's Permit or ability to obtain one upon hire.
