Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Bilingual Nurse (Spanish/English) to join our dynamic healthcare team in New Port Richey, FL. This high-demand role offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while leveraging your language skills to bridge communication gaps and ensure positive patient outcomes. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing significantly to our mission of delivering superior healthcare services. An hourly bonus will be provided for your specialized language skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients and their families, ensuring understanding of medical information, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and post-discharge care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care when necessary.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (verbal and written)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree
- ACLS certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Previous experience in an acute care setting
- Certification in a specialty area (e.g., Medical-Surgical, Critical Care)
