Job Description
Kier Group is seeking talented and driven professionals in Engineering, Construction, and Architecture to join our dynamic teams across various projects. Key Responsibilities
- Lead or assist in the design, planning, and execution phases of construction and engineering projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to achieve project objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to monitor progress and ensure quality control.
- Prepare detailed reports, proposals, and presentations for project stakeholders.
- Utilize CAD software and other industry-standard tools for design and documentation.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and development.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in engineering, construction, or architectural project delivery.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, Primavera P6).
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and structural principles.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering or architectural discipline.
- Professional registration (e.g., CEng, ARB, RIBA, PMP).
- Experience with sustainable design principles and green building certifications (e.g., BREEAM, LEED).
- Familiarity with UK building regulations and planning processes.
- Previous experience working on large-scale infrastructure or public sector projects.
- Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and workflows.
