Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Hotel Housekeepers to join our team at the beautiful RACV Torquay Resort. This is a full-time, temporary position perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry or secure a rewarding summer role. As a Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our guests. You will be responsible for ensuring all rooms and public areas are immaculate, creating a welcoming and pristine environment. We offer staff housing options for those relocating for the summer season, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking a coastal experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms and public areas in accordance with resort standards and procedures
- Change linen, make beds, and replenish amenities
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, and dust furniture
- Clean bathrooms, including showers, toilets, and sinks
- Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely and effectively
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and guest amenities
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Assist guests with inquiries or requests as needed, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
Required Skills
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 15 kg
- Reliability and punctuality
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles (though not essential, as training will be provided)
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- A valid driver's license
