Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Plastic Surgery Nurse to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in delivering an unparalleled patient experience, from initial consultation through post-operative care. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of plastic surgery procedures, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction. You will work closely with our board-certified surgeons, providing pre-operative education, assisting in surgical procedures, managing post-operative recovery, and supporting our patients throughout their aesthetic journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative patient education and counseling.
- Assist plastic surgeons during in-office procedures and minor surgeries.
- Monitor patients during recovery and manage post-operative care.
- Administer medications, injections, and perform wound care as directed.
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments.
- Document patient information, medical history, and treatment plans accurately.
- Educate patients on post-procedure care, potential complications, and follow-up schedules.
- Manage patient inquiries, scheduling, and maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor.
- Ensure compliance with all clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Current RN license in Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in plastic surgery, dermatology, or a related aesthetic field.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Proficiency in patient assessment, care planning, and medication administration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-end clinic environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of cosmetic procedures, products, and surgical techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree.
- Experience with aesthetic injectables (Botox, fillers) and laser treatments.
- Certification in Plastic Surgical Nursing (CPSN) or Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS).
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems specific to aesthetic practices.
