Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and professional SIA Security Officers to join our team in Colchester. This role offers excellent opportunities for both night and day shifts with a high pay rate, reflecting the critical nature of the work. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients’ premises, protecting assets, and ensuring the well-being of staff and visitors. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both internal and external, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points.
- Control access for personnel and visitors, maintaining accurate logs and records.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, taking appropriate action as per company procedures.
- Write detailed reports on observations, occurrences, and activities during your shift.
- Liaise with emergency services and management during critical incidents.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment.
- Provide a visible security presence, acting as a deterrent to criminal activity.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence
- Excellent observational and communication skills
- Ability to write clear and concise reports
- Reliability and punctuality
- Strong sense of integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT literacy
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security role (e.g., corporate, retail, or static guarding)
- First Aid at Work certification
- CCTV Public Space Surveillance (PSS) Licence
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
