Job Description
We are seeking a talented and self-driven Virtual Blog Post Writer to join our freelance team. This is an exciting opportunity for writers who enjoy researching various topics and crafting engaging, informative blog posts. As a freelance writer for HubSpot, you will have the flexibility to choose topics from our content pipeline that align with your interests and expertise, contributing valuable content to our audience. This is a 100% remote, contract position.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and select relevant topics from our provided content outlines or suggest new ideas aligned with our content strategy.
- Write high-quality, engaging, and SEO-friendly blog posts ranging from 800-1500 words on a variety of subjects (e.g., marketing, sales, customer service, business growth, technology).
- Ensure all content is original, well-researched, accurate, and adheres to HubSpot's brand voice and style guidelines.
- Incorporate relevant keywords naturally to optimize for search engines.
- Revise and edit content based on feedback from our editorial team.
- Meet agreed-upon deadlines for content delivery.
Required Skills
- Excellent written communication and grammar skills in English.
- Proven ability to research complex topics and distill information into clear, concise, and engaging prose.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices for content writing.
- Experience with various content formats (e.g., listicles, how-to guides, thought leadership).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple writing assignments simultaneously.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Portfolio demonstrating published blog posts or articles.
