Job Description
Join Livingston International as a Customs Inspection Unpacker and play a crucial role in the efficient processing of international shipments. In this entry-level, on-site position, you will be responsible for carefully opening and preparing packages for inspection by customs agents, ensuring all contents are presented clearly and accurately. This role requires attention to detail, physical dexterity, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will be an integral part of our logistics team, directly supporting the compliance and speed of customs clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify documentation.
- Carefully open and prepare various types of packages and containers for customs inspection.
- Present goods to customs agents in an organized and accessible manner.
- Re-package items securely after inspection, ensuring no damage occurs.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of unpacked goods.
- Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customs personnel.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and customs regulations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
