Job Description
Join DHL Supply Chain as a Distribution Picker in our North West operations, primarily supporting our key Liverpool and Manchester hubs. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking and packing products, ensuring they are ready for dispatch to our diverse customer base. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented, physically capable, and thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to maintaining high standards of accuracy and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product quantities and ensure items match order specifications.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, preparing them for shipment.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, pump trucks) safely, if certified.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and accuracy targets.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors promptly.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions in English.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry items for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 20kg.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
- Experience using RF scanners or other warehouse management systems.
- Valid certification for operating Material Handling Equipment (e.g., pallet truck, reach truck, forklift).
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
