Job Description
Are you passionate about flowers and looking for an exciting entry-level opportunity? MegaMart is seeking a enthusiastic Floral Assistant to join our vibrant team in New Kingston. This role is perfect for someone with no prior experience in floristry but a strong desire to learn, a positive attitude, and a commitment to helping us deliver beautiful floral arrangements to our valued customers. You’ll be an integral part of our floral department, assisting with various tasks from preparing arrangements to ensuring efficient and careful deliveries across Kingston.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior florists in preparing floral arrangements, bouquets, and displays.
- Handle and care for fresh flowers and plants, ensuring their longevity and presentation.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the floral department work area.
- Accurately pack floral orders for delivery, ensuring all items are present and secure.
- Safely and efficiently deliver floral arrangements to customers across various locations in Kingston.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing MegaMart professionally.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and rotating floral supplies.
- Process customer orders and payments accurately, if required.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- No prior experience required – comprehensive training will be provided.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn new skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to lift and carry floral arrangements, involving some physical exertion.
- Valid Jamaican Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Kingston's road network.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
