Job Description
Are you passionate about travel and love helping others plan their perfect getaway? AAA Travel is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Weekend Reservationist to join our remote team. This part-time position is ideal for individuals looking for flexible weekend hours while working from the comfort of their home. You will be responsible for assisting members with travel inquiries, booking reservations, and providing exceptional service to ensure smooth and enjoyable travel experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls and emails from members regarding travel inquiries and reservations during weekend hours.
- Assist clients with booking flights, hotels, rental cars, cruises, and vacation packages.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on destinations, travel products, and services.
- Process payments, issue travel documents, and confirm itineraries accurately.
- Resolve customer service issues and travel-related concerns efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel industry trends, promotions, and AAA member benefits.
- Utilize various reservation systems and tools to manage bookings and client information.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and ability to learn new reservation systems quickly.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office space.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a travel agency, hospitality, or customer service role.
- Familiarity with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Sabre, Amadeus, or Galileo.
- Knowledge of popular travel destinations and international travel regulations.
- Experience with CRM software.
- Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, German) are a plus.
