Job Description
Are you passionate about video games and have a keen eye for detail? Electronic Arts is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Weekend Game Testers to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity for students or anyone looking for flexible weekend work to gain valuable experience in the gaming industry. As a Game Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and playability of our upcoming titles, identifying bugs, glitches, and usability issues before they reach our global audience. You’ll be immersed in the latest games, providing critical feedback that shapes the final product. This role offers the flexibility to work from your own home, making it perfect for balancing with studies or other commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and meticulously document findings for new game features, content, and bug fixes.
- Identify, reproduce, and accurately report bugs, glitches, and usability issues using our internal bug tracking system.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure the stability of the game across various platforms and configurations.
- Provide constructive feedback on gameplay, mechanics, balance, and overall player experience.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand game features and testing requirements.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding unreleased game content.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for video games across multiple genres and platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail and observational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with common operating systems.
- Reliable internet connection and a personal computer/console for testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with bug reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Familiarity with different gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Experience participating in game betas or early access programs.
- A portfolio or history of active participation in gaming communities.
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
