Job Description
Join our dynamic team at DHL Supply Chain as a Warehouse Operative in Yeovil. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking for immediate start in a fast-paced logistics environment. Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading deliveries using appropriate equipment.
- Receiving and dispatching goods, verifying quantities and quality.
- Operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet trucks, MHE) safely after training.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assisting with inventory counts and stock checks.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical capability to lift and move packages.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting (desirable but not essential).
- Forklift license (reach or counterbalance) – training can be provided for suitable candidates.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
