Job Description

Join Elis UK as a Uniform Sorter and become a vital part of our industrial support team in Kingston upon Hull. You will be responsible for accurately sorting and preparing uniforms and linen for washing, ensuring quality control, and contributing to the efficient flow of our production process. Key Responsibilities

  • Sort incoming uniforms, workwear, and linens according to type, size, and client specifications.
  • Inspect items for damage, stains, or missing components before processing.
  • Load items onto designated conveyors or into appropriate containers for laundry processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sorting area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any discrepancies or issues.
  • Assist with other general warehouse and production tasks as needed.
  • Operate basic industrial equipment safely after receiving proper training.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move items (up to 15kg).
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or sorting role (even non-industrial).
  • Familiarity with industrial laundry operations.
