Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Lift Attendant & Porter to join our esteemed team at Carbis Bay Estate. This traditional role is crucial to the smooth operation of our boutique hotel, ensuring guests experience seamless service from arrival to departure. As a Lift Attendant & Porter, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, assisting guests with their luggage, ensuring their comfort and safety within our lifts, and providing exceptional support across various hotel functions. This position requires an individual with a strong commitment to guest satisfaction, a proactive approach, and the ability to handle physical tasks with grace and efficiency. You will be an integral part of our front-of-house team, contributing directly to the luxurious and comforting atmosphere our guests expect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage handling, ensuring efficient and careful transport to their rooms.
  • Operate and monitor guest lifts, providing assistance and ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers.
  • Escort guests to their rooms, providing a brief overview of hotel facilities and services.
  • Assist guests with inquiries, directions, and general information about the hotel and local area.
  • Handle guest requests promptly and efficiently, including delivering messages, packages, and amenities.
  • Support the front desk and other departments with ad-hoc tasks as required to enhance guest experience.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and presentable appearance in all public areas, particularly lobbies and lift carriages.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly to the relevant department.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure the privacy and security of guest belongings and information.
