Job Description
Are you passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on young learners? Explore Learning is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Junior Tutors to join our team in Liverpool. In this rewarding part-time role, you will support children aged 4-14 with their maths and English studies, helping them to develop confidence and achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inspiring maths and English tuition to children aged 4-14, following Explore Learning's curriculum.
- Work with children on a 1:1 and small group basis, adapting teaching methods to individual learning styles.
- Motivate and encourage children to achieve their learning goals, celebrating their successes.
- Provide regular feedback to parents on their child's progress and achievements.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment within the centre.
- Assist with administrative tasks and centre operations as required.
- Ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong passion for working with children and inspiring a love of learning.
- Proficiency in maths and English, up to at least GCSE level (or equivalent).
- Ability to adapt to different learning needs and engage diverse groups of children.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organised.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Education, Maths, English, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational, tutoring, or childcare setting (even informal).
- Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for primary and secondary education.
