Job Description

Metrolinx is seeking a Trainee Procurement Specialist to join our Government Buying Office in Oakville. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior procurement specialists with tendering processes and contract administration.
- Prepare and review procurement documentation, including requisitions, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Support vendor communication, ensuring timely and professional interactions.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, analyze market trends, and gather pricing information.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all procurement activities and supplier information.
- Learn and apply government procurement policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
- Participate actively in training sessions and professional development initiatives to enhance procurement knowledge.
