Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pinterest Knowledge Graph Associate with a strong data focus to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing and maintaining the quality and breadth of the Google Knowledge Graph as it pertains to Pinterest content. You will work with large datasets, identify patterns, resolve discrepancies, and contribute to the overall accuracy and usefulness of structured information related to visual discovery and product information found on Pinterest.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data curation, entity resolution, and data quality assurance for Pinterest-related entities within the Knowledge Graph.
- Analyze large datasets to identify inconsistencies, missing information, and opportunities for data enrichment.
- Develop and apply robust methodologies for mapping Pinterest data to existing ontological structures.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and content teams to define data requirements and improve data ingestion pipelines.
- Utilize internal tools and scripting to process and validate data, ensuring high standards of accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor data performance and provide insights to improve the overall health and coverage of the Knowledge Graph.
- Stay informed about industry best practices in knowledge representation, semantic web technologies, and visual content platforms.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Linguistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of experience working with large datasets, data analysis, and data quality initiatives.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and pattern recognition.
- Understanding of basic knowledge graph concepts, semantic web, or structured data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data issues clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python for data processing and automation.
- Familiarity with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, ArangoDB) or RDF/OWL.
- Prior experience in content classification, taxonomy development, or metadata management.
- Knowledge of visual search, e-commerce, or social media data structures.
