Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Highway Inspector to join our team in Salvador, Bahia. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior inspectors in routine highway inspections, documenting road conditions, signage, and ancillary structures.
  • Learn and apply national standards and regulations for highway construction, maintenance, and safety.
  • Help identify and report defects, damage, or potential hazards on roadways, shoulders, and rights-of-way.
  • Support data collection efforts, including measurements, photographic evidence, and written reports.
  • Participate in site visits and field assessments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to understand inspection findings and recommended actions.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and apply technical information quickly.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office Suite).
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical fitness suitable for fieldwork in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree or coursework in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Prior experience in construction, land surveying, or quality control.
  • Familiarity with road infrastructure components and maintenance practices.
  • Knowledge of Brazilian traffic laws and infrastructure regulations.
