KPMG Canada is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trainee Government Bookkeeper. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers for government clients.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and other financial transactions.
  • Support the reconciliation of bank statements and other accounts.
  • Learn and apply government accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare basic financial reports under supervision.
  • Collaborate with senior bookkeepers and accountants on various projects.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.
  • Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Office suite for daily tasks.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
